I spend a lot of time thinking about change. What inspires people to make changes in their lives? What stands in their way? How do we know when it is time for change? How do we as a society value and make meaning from the changes happening all around us? How does an ever-changing world both open and limit possibilities?

My practice is an integration of my clinical and coaching training and experience.

My clinical practice is rooted in trauma informed theory or an understanding of how our nervous systems evolve through our early childhood attachment relationships, and how we learn to regulate them – or not. The early life shaping of our nervous systems impacts the way we make meaning of our experiences, and thus impacts the forces that drive our choices and impacts our ability to foster relationships with ourselves and others.

By using a ‘coach approach’, I expand on this foundation in a collaborative, co-created and reflective process that encourages and empowers individuals to look at themselves differently – with curiosity and honesty – in the hopes of shifting familiar patterns in the pursuit of change in the present and for the future, alongside navigating the complexities of the systems and relationships that frame our lives.

…So, if you’ve landed here, I imagine you are already in a change process but may be seeking a little bit more support in finding the autonomy, clarity and drive needed to pursue the next chapter of your life…so…what comes next and what is standing in your way?

A little more about me…

I am the co-owner and co-Clinical Director of Shoreline Counselling, a large and ever-growing group private practice based in Vancouver and Fort Langley. In addition to carrying a small caseload of individual clients, I work with counsellors both in a clinical capacity as an Approved Clinical Supervisor and as an Associate Certified Coach in leadership and business development. In this role, I challenge and empower counsellors (and their organizations) to find more clarity around their values and explore ways to work and live in alignment with those values so they can achieve their present and future goals.

I have a Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology and a Certification in Organizational Coaching Certification from UBC. I am a member in good standing of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC) and an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

I have clinical training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and advanced training in Somatic Attachment Psychotherapy (SAP). I will be facilitating a cohort of SAP beginning March 2024.
